A little one's encouragement

After 2 and a half days of being ill with a cold my children were kind enough to share with me, I finally feel good enough this evening to go through some emails and try to catch up on some important things. I'm sitting at my desk and my 2 year old (well, let's call her 3 as her birthday is in 5 days) daughter comes up to me and starts to repeatedly tell me, "You can do it, mommy. I believe in you." When I ask her what it is I can do she tells me, "You can do anything!"

That's a huge dose of encouragement. It's also a tall order to fill. But her sweet voice in my ear and her little hand stroking my arm as she talked was just what I needed tonight.

New Beginnings

Well, it's official. The store has had a web presence since November 10, 2007. And now it's time to grow a little. Stretch our wings, so to speak. In light of that, I'm making a To-Do list. And I'm going to add deadlines that I would love for my family, friends, and customers to help hold me accountable to. Without a little push now and then, especially from my good friend Karmen, I won't stay on track. It's scary to do something new that has such a huge potential for failure. But we're not going to focus on that, are we.
